It looks like this is the year of Michael Graves. He was recently named the recipient of the Richard H. Driehaus Prize from the University of Notre Dame; the first architect inducted into the NJ Hall of Fame; and now, he has received the AIA Presidential Ciation, the prestigious award given each year by the American Institute of Architects, marking merit acknowledgement for outstanding contributions to the profession of architecture. A professor at Princeton University, and one of the founding members of the American Postmodernist Movement in architecture, Graves’ firm has designed more than 350 buildings worldwide and thousands of home, office, and personal products.
