This blockbuster is remembered as one of the most successful shows in the history of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty," which opened in May of 2011. This spring, the Victoria and Albert Museum will open its own, expanded version of this famed retrospective that comes to illuminate the story of the late and painfully talented British fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who became one of the youngest designers to achieve the title ‘British Designer of the Year', which he won four times between 1996 and 2003. His unparalleled talent for innovative tailoring techniques, intricate detailing, and use of technology, was presented at the Met's show and will definitely have their voice in the upcoming British show. Can't wait to see it again. All images are courtesy of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
