Today, I would like to congratulate a special friend for a special occasion. It is artist Claudia Casarino, one of the leading figures in the art world of Paraguay who has opened a solo show Le elocuencia Eloquence. To Claudia, the garment has been a key tool in expressing notions of gender and domesticity as well as cultural and social narratives. And here, the tailored garment specifically defines sleep, sleep which is vulnerable, volatile, and intimate. The garments in this installation speak to us of an intimate moment, the domestic life behind closed doors. Bravo!
