Loved reading a feature in Architectural Digest about a Colonial Revival home in Greenwich, CT, designed by Mica Ertegun. I found the combination of contemporary art by such masters as John Baldessari, Jeff Koons, Gerhard Richter, and Cindy Sherman, a traditional, New-England architecture, and the mix of 20th-century and contemporary design inspiring. Some of the objects that
brought together to manifest a personal taste and a unique marriage of art and design, include a pair of 60s Carlo Nason floor lamps, a Ron Arad sofa, a Karl Springer Lucite cocktail table, Gio Ponti armchairs, a circular chair by Pierre Paulin, coffee table by Diego Giacometti, resin-and-metal doors crafted by Based Upon, and a Boffi tub.
