That Victoria Bekham chose the always inventive, never predictable Londong-based architect Farshid Moussavi to design her first store in London is not surprising. Founder of Farshid MClever and professor at Harvard University, the brilliant Moussavi launched her career with the competition-winning Yokohama Port Terminal, the timber-clad pier that undulates like landscape and nature. She did the John Lewis store in Leicester together with former partner Alejandro Zaera-Polo, where the character of retail architecture was addressed with wrapper based on a 200-year-old linen pattern. Her Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland, Ohio and her winning competition for a large housing block near La Defence in Paris, all add to her amazing portfolio. I cannot wait to see what Farshid will do for Posh.
