With an installation of her new collection at Wright, entitled “Show Me,” lighting designer Lindsey Adelman presents a new direction. Composed of jewelry, mirrors, objects d’art, and one enormous candelabrum, the show at the NYC-based gallery of the Chicago auction house, features objects designed in a dark, almost Gothic mood. Adelman, who opened her Manhattan-based studio eight years ago, has become known for a very different vocabulary, and I am talking about her famed bubble chandeliers, referring to the Atomic Age. While she has been creating jewelry for years, it is the first time that jewelry becomes a focus of her collection. All images @Lauren Coleman.
