Enjoyed meeting Lisa Roberts, whose book Antiques of the Future was published a couple of years ago. An active trustees in design museums, Lisa, like me has been engaged with educating the public in collecting design. Only her focus is very different than mine. She looks at industrial design identifies objects that perhaps seem ordinary now, but that are in fact marking turning points in innovation, concept, and design, and thus will become the antiques of the future. She has documented the process of finding and identifying these objects in a TV series.
