In the next session of Collecting Design, taking place at the New York School of Interior Design on December 8th in the evening and on December 9th in the morning, I will focus on collectible contemporary design. That particular niche in the design market emerged in the 90th with work by such designers as Tom Dixon, Marc Newson, the Campana Brothers, and Ron Arad. The market has since matured and become more multifaceted and therefore much more complex. My guest, renowned interior designer Amy Lau will share her expertise in acquisitions of collectible objects as well as the work that she has conducted with designers on special commission. Here are examples of Amy’s work in which such initiatives have been taken place.
