I was first introduced to the work of French artist/designer Pierre Charpin at Galerie Kreo and fell in love. Now, he is at the center of a remarkable showing at the appartement N°50, in the famed Le Corbusier's apartment block Cité Radieuse, which he built in Marseille in 1953. At their time, these apartments were furnished in the 50s with furniture from Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Jean
Prouvé. Apartment number 50 is owned by Jean-Marc Drut, who is known her passion for design and for opening her home up to the public every other year, allowing contemporary designers to refurnish the space. This time she selected Pierre Charpin, whose simple forms of vibrant color and drawings of pornographic images make the space a perfect background.
