He was America's most celebrated industrial designer. A true celebrity. Raymond Loewy would have been 120 yeas old today and Google Doodle honors this day with a new logo. He designed Lucky Strike cigarette Pack, Coca-Cola vending machines, the Greyhound bus, the S1 Locomotive, logos for Shell and Exxon, the interiors of President John F. Kennedy’s Air Force One and NASA’s Apollo and Skylab “orbiters.” In the cover of its October 31, 1949 issue, Times Magazine honored Loewy with a cover. Bravo, Google Doodle!
