When Claire Beck married Adolf Loos, he was sixty and was working on what is considered today his best house, the Villa Müller in Prague. It was here that Loos came to express his signature principles of spatial planning and split-level arrangement. She was the daughter of one of his patron, Otto Beck and was 24. They separated just two years later and two years before Loos died. Now, her book, Adolf Loos: A Private Portrait was published by DoppelHouse Press in English. These are the images of his Villa Müller.
