Here is Richard Meier at his best. The penthouse at his 165 Charles in the West Village is offered now for sale for the first time since the completion of the building in 2004 by Brown Harris Stevens. It is Meier's gesamskunstwerk as he designed the building, the interior of this penthouse, the kitchen, bathroom, and it is furnished with some of his iconic furniture from the 80s, a total, integrated work. Drama and Minimalism on an enormous scale, the space is based on three themes: white, light, and space. It is in this building that Meier first presented his signature kitchen consisting of modern white cabinetry and white Corian, which has since become his trademark.
