It is hard to believe, but Alessi celebrates 25th anniversary to its Juicy Salif, also known as the most controversial juicer in the history, designed by Philippe Starck in 1990. Made of polished and cast aluminum, Juicy Salif certainly made us think differently on squeezing lemon, and came to mark a turning point in designing of consumer goods. No more informed by the notion that form follows function, but from now on, form that stands on its own right and entail the produce with a unique identity. To celebrate this milestone event, the Italian kitchenware and tableware company has issued two tributes to the iconic juicer: one in white ceramic-coated aluminum, and the other in cast bronze, both produced in limited edition.
