American design of the past century, and particularly that created by the founders of the Studio Furniture Movement, has enjoyed a revival among European and Asian collectors. If until very recently, those collectors living in Europe have tended to snob American design, now, it is emerging to the forefront of marketplace of collectible design. Now, French auction house PIASA has announced a curated thematic sale of American and Brazilian Design, which will inaugurate the upcoming Autumn season. Among the designers represented in this sale are the Americans Vladimir Kagan, Paul Evans, George Nakashima, and Judy Kensley McKie, and the Brazilians Oscar Neimeyer, and Joaquim Tenreiro, just to name a few in the wide array of designers presented.
