Visiting the studio of Bill Sullivan in Long Island City this morning with my class was a treat. Not only for me, but for anyone with love and genuine interest in the Decorative Arts. Bill is a sculptor who has created decorative arts for the majority of his career, moving from wood to bronze, to stainless steel, and always creates objects of beauty and essence, objects reflecting the hands creating them. He is a renaissance artist, who works with such a wide range of materials, as marble, stones, porcelain, and rock crystal, and all under one roof, in his studio which is equipped by thousands of tools. Bill's work is either custom made, or being represented by Maison Gerard Gallery in NY. Thanks for hosting us, Bill.
