Francois Laffanour is surprising again. One of the most exciting components of the upcoming Design Miami Fair is certainly the strong presence of work by French architect/designer Charlotte Perriand. Laffanour, founder of the always amazing Galerie Downtown, and the man who can be credited for establishing and stimulating the market, literature, and scholarship of Perriand's postwar work, will be showing an extraordinary display at his booth. A special curated exhibition entitled "Charlotte Perriand - A House in Montmartre," this display represents pieces of furniture that were created for Maison Borot. The residence of industrialist Borot, one of the last commissions that Perriand took, represents her mature style and expression.
