Those who have read my blog for a while and those who attend my lectures know that I am an admirer of Galerie Kreo and its program. While its founders Clémence and Didier Krzentowski have not invented the notion of producing the best of contemporary design in limited edition, they certainly have taken it from the place it was left by the legendary Pierre Staudenmeyer (1952—2007), the father of collectible contemporary design, and whom the two considered their mentor, into new horizons. Didier, the eternal collector who began collecting at the age of 8, is so passionate about design that I always find him inspiring, someone I love to learn from, because when you visit Kreo, whether in its Parisian location or in the new Mayfair, London location, you begin to think differently about design. Now, in a new exhibition that illuminates the gallery's two location, Paris and London, entitled “La Luce Vita,” Kreo shows more than 150 French and Italian lights from 1950’s to the present, demonstrating the power of light to transform perceptions and the highest level of taste.
