The home was René Lalique and this is where he lived when working in Wingen-sur-Mode, nearby his famed factory. Now, under the name Villa Lalique, it is a process of being transformed into a luxury hotel. Lalique, who started his career as a jeweler, shifted into making glass in the 20s and founded his factory in Wingen-sur Mode, which is in the Vosges in the North-east of France, in 1921. The hotel will have only six en-suite bedrooms, but will be entirely decorated in showcasing Lalique’s contemporary home interior.
