The LC4 Chaise Longue, designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, is one of the most iconic pieces of furniture in history, reflecting the faith in machine aesthetics, hygiene, and comfort that stood at the core of the Modern Movement. It is produced by Cassina’s Masters Collection under a license from the Le Corbusier Foundation. Now, Cassina, in collaboration with Louis Vuitton, has issued a special edition, called LC4 CP,
which resulted of Louis Vuitton’s expertise in saddlery craftsmanship, crafted in yellow stitching of the natural saddle. To celebrate this extraordinary production, Cassina’s SoHo showroom opened an exhibition “Charlotte Perriand - A Modernist Pioneer, from Avant-garde Design to Photography,” providing an insight into Perriand’s discoveries during her travels.
