He was a genius whose glorious career ended tragically. Now, the Royal Institute of British Architects opens a new exhibition that explores the career of Scottish designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Composed of drawings, watercolors and perspectives, it is devoted to the evolution of his architecture and the lifelong collaboration with his accomplished artist wife Margaret Macdonald. With the display of original drawings, what makes this show particularly intriguing is the fact that Mackintosh has been known for his exceptional talent as a draughtsman, who created his most important building, the Glasgow School of Art at the age of 29.
