Ever since Frank Gehry introduced his Easy Edges cardboard furniture in 1972, the material has become sensational when utilized in furniture and has since acquired the connotation of green design. Now, pieces of furniture made of recycled corrugated cardboard will be shown in the Milan Design week at Salone del Mobile in Milan, participating in an exhibition entitled “Anatomy of Design,” in the district of Tortona. The Spanish representation will be in charge of the Valencian designers Sanserif Creatius, which will present a selection of furniture and lamps made with recycled corrugated cardboard. Particularly intriguing is the Grandfather Clock, a clock of almost 2 metres, which imitates the dies and mechanisms of the classics.
